Accessible Event Practices
This event aims to showcase best practices in accessible event planning. To that end:
- the space is wheelchair accessible,
- we will provide accessible digital versions of all printed and projected materials, and
- speakers will use visual description and people-first language.
We will also provide CART (Communication Access Realtime Translation) and ASL (American Sign Language) services upon request and will do our best to meet other requested accommodations.
Help us accommodate you better during the conference by filling out a quick survey on your needs and preferences. Please email the City’s Digital Accessibility Coordinator for information or accommodations.
Scent-Free Space
In order to make the conference space more accessible for people with multiple chemical sensitivities (MCS) and/or environmental illness (EI), we request that all attendees refrain from wearing scented products. These might include soap, body wash, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, or cologne/perfume.
