Conference 2018

2018 Digital Inclusion + Accessibility Conference logo. This logo was designed using plain language, high color contrast for people with low vision and color blindness, and sentence-case text for people with dyslexia. The overlapping colors within the text represent unity and transparency.

The Digital Inclusion & Accessibility conference is a one-day event on May 17, 2018 for City employees co-hosted by the NYC Digital, of the Mayor’s Office of the CTO, and the Mayor’s Office for People with Disabilities (MOPD).

The day is aimed at empowering City workers to create digital experiences that serve all New Yorkers equally. This means building websites that everyone can access and enjoy, and creating content respectful of all who interact with it. Digital Inclusion & Accessibility 2018 will make these tasks a bit more — you guessed it — accessible!

The event will focus on best practices in web accessibility, as well as issues of representation related to disability, economic standing, gender identity, and race.

Breakfast and lunch included. Registration is limited to City employees.
